Never leave a hot fresh killed hide rolled up in an un-breathable bag without cooling the hide first. Failing to cool your hide before storage could result in hair slippage.

Get the best results possible for your goat and especially your sheep after harvesting.  Take the time to wash all of or as much of the blood out of your hide as soon as possible. Whatever blood remains on the hide can cause it to set in when tanned, leaving a rust colored stain. So Please take your time and get to water! This tip will ensure that your mount will be as prestine as it was or better than when you looked through your scope.
